ART & CRAFTS - Hand-pressed wood block for Liberty fabrics (late 19th c.). Label on back: "from Margaret Steven / 40a Station Road / Barne / London, SW 13". Numbering on top edge: "L2057". Size: 27 x 27 x 4 cm. Founded in 1875 by Arthur Lasenby Liberty (1843-1917), Liberty quickly became a benchmark in the textile world.
