Paris, Mercure de France, 1908, large 8°, full black morocco, 5-ribbed spine, gilt author, title and date, gilt head on witnesses, gilt edges, full brown morocco spine flaps framed by a gilt fillet, black moiré endpapers, covers and spine cons., edged and dotted slipcase (spine slightly faded, edge of slipcase slightly rubbed, pale russeting at head of volume) (binding signed Canape et Corriez). Ex-libris of Gustave Nellens. Partly original collective edition, including for the first time articles from "Corsaire-Satan" and "Paris-Journal". Illustrated on the frontispiece with a woodcut portrait of Baudelaire, known as "au cigare", in 2 states, based on a photograph taken around 1865 by Charles Neyt. 1/87 numbered head copies on Hollande (ex. no. 15 printed especially for M. Flament). A fine copy.
