Reunion of 10 invitation cards and other flyers. Various formats. Gérard Van Bruaene (Courtrai, 1892 - Brux. 1964) began exhibiting German Expressionist painters such as Klee, Grosz and Otto Dix in 1924. In 1926, he exhibited Arp's reliefs and Max Ernst's Histoire naturelle for the first time. In 1944, he hosted the estaminet "La Fleur en papier doré", which brought together numerous artists from the Surrealist movement (René Magritte, Louis Scutenaire, Marcel Mariën, E.L.T. Mesens...), Cobra and later the magazine "Tijd en Mens".
