L'Empereur de Chine followed by Le Serin muet. P., Au sans pareil, "Collection Dada", 1921, in-12, glossy, black cover with red title-piece. First edition printed in 162 copies, 1/100 vellum Lafuma. "Le Serin muet" was first performed at the Dada soirée on March 27, 1920 at the Maison de l'Oeuvre, rue de Clichy. André Breton and Tristan Tzara played the male roles. After this single performance, Ribemont-Dessaignes entrusted the manuscript to Picabia, who, along with Aragon and Tzara, encouraged René Hilsum to publish it with "L'Empereur de Chine".
