GRIGORIEV (Boris).
Boui boui by the sea. [Berlin], Petropolis, 1924, folio, 59 p., half vellum with corners, hardback, author, title and figure gilt on the upper board (stained paperback). First edition illustrated with 28 out-of-text lithographs by Boris Grigoriev, all protected by a serpente. The story of "Boui boui au bord de la mer" begins in 1921, shortly after Grigoriev's arrival in France. In 1922, he travelled through the cities of the Mediterranean coast, such as Toulon and Marseille, keeping an illustrated diary of his impressions of his visits to the ports and taverns. In 1923 he decided to publish them in an album.
