WURZELBAUR (Johann Philipp von). Uranies Noricae basis astronomica sive rationes motus annui ex observationibus in solem. Nuremberg, Johann Ernst Adelbulner for the author, 1719, in-folio, three parts, (8)-82-(1)-86-(2)-17-(1) p., 5 plates (the frontispiece is missing), 19th c. half vellum fresh copy of this combined edition containing enlarged and revised texts of the texts of the "Uranies Noricae" and the "Stabilimentum", first printed in 1697 and 1713 and 1713 respectively. The first work is a catalog of nearly 300 years of solar observations observations, collected, calculated and corrected by Wurzelbaur (1651-1725), a rich scientist interested in interested in astronomy, who had built his own private observatory with a large quadrant after the drawings of Hevelius (Houzeau and Lancaster 11858; Lalande, p 372).
