Antwerp, Henri Aertssens, 1622, in-12, (16)-392-(16) p., engraved title and 76 figures by BOETIUS van BOLSWERT, full brown morocco, spine ribbed, gilt title, oval gilt design (crucifixion) stamped in the center of the boards, inner gilt lace, gilt edges (binding signed "Capé Masson - Debonnelle srs" (successors). In 1848, Charles-François Capé (1806-1867) established himself at 16 rue Dauphine in Paris, where he worked with two workers: Germain Masson and Charles de Bonnelle until his death in 1867. The binding was thus established after this date). Ex-libris of Eugène Paillet (1829-1901), president of the Society "Les amis des livres". Boëtius Adams Bolswert or Boëtius Adamsz. à Bolswert or Bodius (ca. 1580 Bolsward-1633, Antwerp) Dutch engraver of the Golden Age. A fine copy (a few small tears in the binding, small burn on f. 17/18).
