[Single copy with 26 original drawings].— DONNET, Gustave.— FLAMENT (Julien). *Au mortier d'or*. Brussels, Éditions gauloises, (ca. 1920), full black morocco, covers decorated with a set of gold fillets, spine with 5 raised bands, gilt head, inner covers edged and filleted in gold, covers and spine preserved (gills worn). First edition. A unique copy enriched with a 4-page handwritten letter from a certain Daxhelet, reproduced on pp. 10–11, as well as all of Gustave Donnet’s original drawings, 26 in total (+ one drawing on a loose leaf). Gustave Donnet (1892–1973) was a Belgian painter, draftsman, watercolorist, and sculptor. He is known for his gouache and oil paintings, which often depict landscapes, flower arrangements, or fantastical scenes. He was the founder of the artistic circle “Les Aquarellistes anversois.”
