DURET (Th.). Histoire des peintres impressionnistes. Pissarro, Claude Monet, Sisley, Renoir, Berthe Morisot, Cézanne, Guillaumin. Paris, H. Floury, 1919, large 8°, br. with full cover (head of spine slightly damaged, russeting on covers). New edition, complete with the 2 original etchings by Renoir ("Jeunes filles" and "Baigneuse"), the original etching by Guillaumin ("En Hollande"), and the engraved drawing by Pissarro ("La Femme aux poules"). Théodore Duret, a great supporter of Impressionism and a fervent promoter of Japanese art in France, was a regular contributor to the Revue Blanche. He wrote numerous articles on Monet, Renoir, Whistler, Hokusaï, etc. A good copy.
