Berggruen Catalogues - A collection of 20 catalogs from the famous Paris gallery. Various dates: 1968 to 1996. Several original lithographed covers: Alechinsky, Arroyo, Beringer, Henry Moore, Robert Motherwell, Munch, Peter Paul and Wunderlich. Catalogs on : Arroyo, Lucian Freud, Klee, Klimt, Kubin, Marcoussis, Matisse, Munch... Heinz Berggruen (1914-2007) was a German journalist, collector, gallery owner and art dealer. In 1947, he moved to Paris, where he opened a gallery in the Place Dauphine. André Breton, Paul Éluard and Tristan Tzara soon acted as intermediaries for artists. Berggruen gained international renown in the field of prints, notably after organizing the first exhibition of Klee's etchings in 1950, and Matisse's "papiers découpés" in 1953. He was also a close friend of Picasso. Beautiful set in mint condition.
