[Expo 58] - Album containing 60 silver prints, pasted in full, some with captions (1 vol. 4° in green half-percaline with corners). A very fine record of the construction of the Atomium and various pavilions, as well as the official inauguration of the Brussels World's Fair and International Exhibition, which was held from April 17 to October 19, 1958 on the Heysel plateau and attracted nearly 42 million visitors. Photographs of the French pavilion, the United States pavilion, the USSR, the United Kingdom and Mexico, as well as the Philips Pavilion designed by Le Corbusier's studio and the Génie Civil spire. Also of note is the portrait of engineer André Waterkeyn, posing in front of the Atomium designed in partnership with architects André and Jean Polak. Photo size: 12.5 x 17.5 cm. Attached are 8 photographic plates (Atomium, Philips Pavilion...), as well as the presentation program for the Philips Pavilion illustrated by Le Corbusier. Very fine set in good condition.
