SEGUY (Emile-Allain). Insectes. Laced cardboard folder illustrated with a magnificent insect stencil, gilt title (folder soiled and rubbed). Folder only (without the 20 insect plates). Émile-Allain Séguy (1877-1951) was a French decorative painter renowned for his illustrations of plants and insects in the Art Nouveau and Art Deco styles. In his heyday, he created the most memorable insect illustrations of the Art Deco period, publishing them in two volumes: "Papillons" (1928) and "Insectes" (1929).
