FAURÉ (Gabriel). Autograph letter to Albert Carré (1912), director of the Opéra-comique de Paris (1920). 1 in-4 leaflet of 2 pages. Gabriel Fauré asks Albert Carré not to announce "Pénélope" in the shows he usually publishes in September, and he tells him it's only a delay of a few weeks. Then he told him about the artists he wanted to fill the roles. "Pénélope" was performed in 1913. Gabriel Fauré (1845-1924) was a French pianist, organist and composer. Albert Carré (1852-1938), was a French actor, director, playwright, librettist and theater manager.
