MIOMANDRE (Francis de). Dancings. Lithographs by H. Gazan. [Paris], Flammarion, (1932), small 4° with full margins, mauve half-chagrin with corners, 5-rib spine extending cold on the boards, gilt author, title and caissons, gilt head on witnesses, marbled endpapers, illustrated cover and spine (upper corner slightly rubbed) (binding signed Vits). Edition illustrated with 19 black lithographs by H. Gazan. Limited edition of 525 copies, 1/20 vergé de Hollande, 4th paper after 5 vieux Japon, 10 Japon impérial and 15 Madagascar. Henry Gazan (Paris, 1887-1960), was a French artist. A student at the Paris School of Decorative Arts, he frequented the bohemian scene in Montmartre. As a caricaturist, he contributed to "Le Rire", "Le Sourire", "Fantasio", "Pages folles", "La Baïonnette", "Gil Blas", etc., and became a member of the Salon des humoristes. Gazan was drafted during the First World War, and was a soldier-draftsman from 1916. A fine copy.
