VERLAINE - Collection of various documents relating to Paul Verlaine. Includes: 1. invitation card for the anniversary mass organized by Paul Verlaine's family and friends on January 15, 1897 at the Eglise Sainte-Clotilde - 2. death certificate for Philomène Boudin. Philomène Boudin, known as Esther, was, like Eugénie Krantz, Verlaine's companion in his last years. She inspired the poet to write several collections, including "Odes en son honneur" and "Chansons pour Elle" - 3. "La Plume". Bi-monthly illustrated magazine. N° 163-164 (8th year). Issue devoted to Paul Verlaine. Paris, February 1896, 8°, br.- 4. Hommage à Verlaine. Paris, Léon Vanier, 1910, 8°, 317 p., br. uncut (spine browned with trace of wetness). First edition.- 5. 2 autograph letters signed "Verlaine" or "Mlle Verlaine" (63 rue des St-Pères, then 30 rue Mazarine). 3 leaves in-16, envelopes enclosed (one on the letterhead of Courrier de la Presse), dated 1901 and 1909; announcement of Henry-Albert Verlaine's death in 1900 at Fond-de-Givonne; 1 menu for the Collège Notre-Dame de Rethel students' banquet (illustrated with Verlaine's bust).
