Røde Mor Kollektive Billeder. Arhus, Forlaget Marselis / Dem - Lot 803
Røde Mor Kollektive Billeder. Arhus, Forlaget Marselis / Demos, Nov. 1972, folio, 88 p., stapled. Cover illustrated with linocut. First edition illustrated with 41 plates after the linocuts. Collectively produced, these posters illustrate the themes of the struggles of the time: the Vietnam War, low wages, daily violence, youth revolt, women's struggles, etc. Each plate is titled on the back, and some are commented on and historical context. "Røde Mor" is a Danish artists' collective founded in 1969 by Troels Trier, Ole Finding, John Ravn, Yukari Ochiaia and Dea Trier Mørch. Close to the extreme left, labor struggles and student protest movements, the group was soon joined by other artists and remained very active until the mid-70s. It produced posters, comic strips and rock concerts.
