Alfonso Reyes (1889-1959), was a Mexican writer, translator, diplomat, jurist and philosopher. He was one of the most important writers in the Spanish language, one of the founders of the "Colegio de México", and also served as Mexico's ambassador to Argentina, Brazil, France and Spain.
