DEL PEZZO (Lucio), SANGUINETI (Edoardo). Nelle cose stesse. - Lot 619
DEL PEZZO (Lucio), SANGUINETI (Edoardo). Nelle cose stesse. Genova-Bocadasse, Edizioni del Deposito, 1967, square folio, 1 sheet of tissue paper with Sanguineti's poem printed in black, 5 original color serigraphs signed and dated by Lucio Del Pezzo, in publisher's gray cloth slipcase with flaps. Numbered 107 copies, artist's proof copy, justified, signed and dated by Del Pezzo. The 5 serigraphs are also signed and justified. Lucio Del Pezzo was one of the members, along with Guido Biasi, Bruno Di Bello, Sergio Fergola, Luigi Castellano and Mario Persico, of Group 58, founded in Naples in 1958, close to the Milanese "Arte Nucleare" group led by Enrico Baj. In 1959, the group drew up the "Naples Manifesto", formally distancing itself from abstract art. With Gruppo 58, Del Pezzo founded the magazine "Documento Sud", directed by Luigi Castellano, and came into contact with the poet Edoardo Sanguineti - a member of Gruppo 63, a literary movement born in Palermo - with whom he began a fruitful artistic partnership, particularly in the production of several artists' books. "Nelle cose stesse" was published by the Galleria del Deposito cooperative, the first Italian gallery to market multiples and develop silkscreen printing.
