"Quasar". Poster for the Quasar exhibition at the Musée d'Ar - Lot 487
"Quasar". Poster for the Quasar exhibition at the Musée d'Art Moderne in Paris, the Musée du Louvre and MoMA in New York. Size: 56.5 x 38 cm. Nguyen Manh Khanh was born in Hanoi, Vietnam, in 1934. He adopted the pseudonym Quasar when he married fashion designer Emmanuelle. His heyday came in the 60s with his "Aérospace" collection of inflatable furniture. By 1968, the Montreuil factory was producing a thousand of these per month. Carefree, light and joyful, these objects were in tune with the "pop" era, determined to do away with deprivation, sacrifice and shackles. Mint condition.
