MOULOUDJI (Marcel). Autograph handwritten letter to Youki [Desnos]. 1 sheet 8° recto/verso on squared paper. It concerns a parking ticket and a bicycle held at the police station. The first part is addressed to a certain Nico, in which he recounts the police search of his bike; the second part is addressed to Youki: "Dear Youki / You see what fell on me / I've been rotting for 1 1/2 hours at the police station (...). / Good Bye / The weather is more than great - I'm / walking around I'm very happy / Farewell / light and short dressed she walked at / great pace / we're going to start going out in little underpants / As for the bike story - It's settled - So, don't / think about it anymore and don't yell at me. / please / Your child in law / I'll come tomorrow - after lunch. / Moulou de la Mouloudjette / (...). Marcel Mouloudji (1922-1994) was a French singer, songwriter, painter and actor. An artistic figure of Montparnasse in the 1930s, Youki Desnos (1903-1966) owes her nickname to her husband, the painter Foujita. She shared her life with surrealist poet Robert Desnos from December 1931, when Foujita left Paris and entrusted her to the care of his notorious lover.
