KHNOPFF (Fernand). Handwritten postcard addressed to Edmond Deman: "Dear Editor / Would you like me / to come and show you the work - / complete with the exception / of the coloring / of the frontispiece - / on Thursday around 4 a.m.? / I present you, / already, my compliments / the best / Fernand Khnopff". Edmond Deman was a Belgian bookseller and art publisher (1857-1918). He was the main publisher of the Belgian Symbolists. He published works by Stéphane Mallarmé, Gustave Kahn, Spilliaert, James Ensor, Georges Lemmen, Fernand Khnopff and Théo van Rysselberghe / IDEM. Autograph handwritten letter to Émile Verhaeren. 1 sheet, 17.5 x 11 cm. "Mon cher Émile / Beaucoup d'excuses pour le / retard que je put à te donner / les noms des éditeurs (...) / Présente mes respects à Madame / Verhaeren ton très affectueux Fernand". Enclosed is a bristol card signed by Émile Verhaeren and an autograph letter signed by Georges Khnopff, dated June 1891. 1 folio in-12.
