"Neutrality? nonsense, crime and treason!".... - Lot 973 - Les ventes Damien Voglaire SRL
"Neutrality? nonsense, crime and treason!". Paris, August 20, 1936, 1 sheet 4° printed in black on pale blue paper. Surrealist protest against France's neutral stance in the Spanish Civil War. Tract co-signed by Breton, Maurice Heine, Georges Hugnet, Léo Malet, Marcel Jean and a few others. Marcel Jean's signature was crossed out on each copy by André Breton, because, as Marcel Jean was later to confirm, he disagreed with the text. Very rare.
