PILLARD-VERNEUIL (Maurice).
Images d'une femme. Twenty-four nude studies with a foreword by Jules Romains. P., Denoël et Steele, (1931), 4°, 15 p. of text and 24 plates of photographs reproduced in phototypesetting, in sheets, laced cardboard folder, title-piece on upper cover (folder rubbed, qqs traces of use). First edition printed in 1100 numbered copies, with a ms. letter from Jules Romains concerning a conference. Maurice Pillard-Verneuil (1869-1942) was a French Art Nouveau decorative artist and art critic. This album appears to be the author's only photographic work of nudes, several of whose plates were published in issues of Arts et Métiers Graphiques devoted to photography.
