Limited edition of 910 numbered copies, one of a handful of nominative copies printed especially for the publisher Stock, numbered in Roman numerals (ex. n° XXVII). Edition illustrated with 20 color compositions by Léon Carré - protected by captioned serpents - and ornaments based on decorative paintings of Buddhist art found in the temples of ancient India. Beautifully illustrated by Léon Carré, a close friend of the author in Algiers. A fine copy.
