"L'Exode des musées" (The Exodus from the Museums) deals with the fate of works of art from public and private collections from 1939 to 1945, when the Nazis embarked on the great plundering operation intended to feed Hitler's dream museum in Linz. It never saw the light of day, but the project left irreparable traces. Michel Rayssac retraces this journey and highlights the role of thousands of people who risked their lives to preserve this heritage.
