PRANAS.- MILOSZ (O.V. de L.). The Sea. Poëme. Paris, Pranas, 1970, 8° oblong (22 x 58 cm), leaves, illustrated cover filled, grey cloth illustrated slipcase (light scattered foxing on slipcase and cover). First edition. Artist's book designed, engraved and printed by Pranas. The text and 20 original engravings were jointly engraved on linoleum by Pranas and intaglio printed by the artist on his personal press. Limited edition of 120 copies, numbered 1/20 Auvergne du Moulin Richard de Bas, 3rd paper after 2 Auvergne and 3 Arches. Pranas Gailius (1928-2015) is a painter and engraver of Lithuanian origin. He settled in France, first in Strasbourg and then in Paris, where he was a pupil of Fernand Léger.
