First edition. 1/ 60 ex. de tête num. sur vélin d'Arches blanc, featuring an engraving by François Lunven (fly plate, justified and monogrammed in pencil). François Lunven (Paris, 1942-1971) was a French engraver, draftsman and painter who learned engraving techniques at the Lacourière-Frélaut studio. In 1970, he had his first and only solo exhibition, at the Transart gallery in Milan. On October 19, 1971, on the eve of his second exhibition at the Musée d'Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris, François Lunven committed suicide by throwing himself out of the window. Considered one of the great printmakers of the 20th century, he left a rare but important body of work of great force.
