CLAUZEL - GUILLEVIC. Hypothesis. Original poem by Guillevic. - Lot 658
CLAUZEL - GUILLEVIC. Hypothesis. Original poem by Guillevic. Original acrylics by Jacques Clauzel. S.l., Jacques Clauzel [Presses artisanales de la Cave de Cannes-et-Clairan], 1993, 4° agenda, leaves, silk-folded cover, original edition of 50 numbered copies, signed by the author and artist. 1/10 head copies accompanied by 7 acrylic diptychs on kraft paper, presented on Rivoli paper. Jacques Clauzel (Nîmes, °1941) studied painting at the fine arts schools of Tourcoing, Montpellier and Paris. His work (drypoints, aquatints, paintings, engravings, photographs) is characterized by a highly refined style. The main theme of his work is silence. From 1968 onwards, he devoted himself to reportage photography. In 1976, he returned to painting through automatic drawings. This was a period of research (crumpled paper, then torn and pasted...) that led him to work on kraft paper. He has collaborated with poets such as Andrée Chedid, Pierre Dhainaut, Bernard Noël and Michel Butor.
