First edition of the catalog for the 1947 international Surrealist exhibition in Paris. Copy annotated on p. 19 and p. 131 (we have been unable to identify the author of these annotations): "One cannot speak of such a block without explaining oneself! Ridiculous, derisory judgment as far as Architecture-Peinture-Sculpture is concerned. Architecture stems directly from the evolution of construction techniques and forms of social organization, two causes which can each be reactionary or revolutionary (...)".
