"L'Arbalète. Literary magazine printed every six months on Marc Barbezat's hand press. N° 2 to 13. Lyon, Marc Barbezat, 1940-1948, 11 vols. 4°, br. (no. 2: mss. corrections; no. 6: spine damaged, cover edges chipped; no. 7: cover damaged; no. 10: a few pale russets at end of vol.) First edition, numbered or not, on Johannot or Lafuma pur fil. The collection is complete, with the exception of the unobtainable no. 1 mimeographed in a hundred or so copies, which are said to have been partially destroyed. A very important literary magazine in which almost all the great writers of the period took part from May 1940 to June 1948: Aragon, Artaud, Camus, Caldwell, Hemingway, Eluard, Genet, Michaux, Leiris, Queneau, Sartre, Vian, etc.
