DESIGN - CHAPO (Pierre). Reunion of 3 documents from 1966 and 1967. Includes: 1. 3 stapled sheets of the Chapo furniture price list: prices for desks, bookcases, beds, benches, chests of drawers, stools, armchairs, chairs and tables; 2. 1 glossy sheet promoting the Godot bed; 3. 1 sheet with 1 flap presenting Pierre Chapo's wooden furniture at the Arts ménagers in 1966. Pierre Chapo (1927-1987) opened a gallery on boulevard de l'Hôpital, where he exhibited his own work as well as that of other designers such as Isamu Noguchi, with whom he shared a sculptural and organic approach. He received his first commissions, including a single bed for Samuel Beckett. In 1960, at the Arts et techniques de l'artisanat exhibition, his work was recognized by the City of Paris, which awarded him the Gold Medal.
