MOUCHA - BARRIERE (Gérard). Small memories of the great beginning. [Eight woodcuts by Miloslav Moucha]. Opava, Maison des Arts, 1992, 4°, br., cover filled. First edition printed at 250 copies on Velké Losiny paper, signed by the artist. For fear of persecution, Miloslav Moucha (Litvínov, °1942) emigrated to France in 1968. There he met other Czech artists and intellectuals, including the writer Josef Kroutvor and the filmmaker Stepan Benda. In Paris, he discovered avant-garde art with Ben Vautier, Claude Viallat, Serge Oldenbourg and others. Later, he became friends with Pierre Restany and Gérard Barrière.
