Published in Brussels by the Surrealist Group in Belgium. Brux, Nicolas Flamel [E.L.T. Mesens], 20 August 1935, 4°, 8 p., stapled. First edition illustrated with "La Gâcheuse" by Magritte on the first cover and "L'Ambassadeur" by Max Servais. Contains the manifesto of the Belgian surrealists against the Franco-Soviet pact "Le Couteau sous la plaie" (The knife under the wound), written by Paul Nougé and signed collectively by the writers of Brussels and Hainaut. It also contains André Breton's speech for the "Congrès des écrivains pour la défense de la culture" (Dictionnaire général du surréalisme, p. 363; L'Art moderne en Belgique, p. 389; Mariën, L'Activité surréaliste en Belgique, pp. 261-268) New condition.
