SERGE (Victor), whose real name was Viktor... - Lot 162 - Les ventes Damien Voglaire SRL
SERGE (Victor), whose real name was Viktor Lvovitch Kibaltchitch (Brussels, 1890 - Mexico City, 1947), was a libertarian revolutionary, then a Marxist, and a French writer. A letter and a postcard, namely: 1. a letter to Madeleine BOURDOUXHE, writer, one page in-12 on headed paper of the Café de Flore, bd St-Germain in Paris (right edge badly cut), dated "Monday 26". Serge announces the itinerary of his day the next day: meal, coffee, so that his correspondent can meet him. "I will be with a friend who knows you a little, she enjoyed La Femme de Gilles very much (...). This novel was published in 1937 - 2. a postcard to Jacques MULLER, mathematician, husband of Madeleine Bourdouxhe, dated April 12, 1937. Serge had to leave Brussels in a hurry, his visa having expired. He regrets not having been able to see them. He also regrets not having been able to see the Verbrugges. "I left Brux. On the animated impressions of the night of April 11, sympathetically agitated by the already clear defeat of rexism, and I found Paris bewitched by spring"... Beautiful document written less than a year after Serge's expulsion from the USSR thanks to the intervention of Romain Roland./ Set. 2 documents.
