Enriched with a signed typescript letter placed at the head of the volume: letter from Gaston Gallimard concerning the offprint of Le Temps du mépris by the NRF (letter addressed to his friend Paul Cousin, Belgian importer of American cars). First edition printed at 597 numbered copies. 1/11 numbered copies on Japon impérial, 2nd paper after 8 Chine. First French literary work to deal with Nazism and its horrors. A very nice copy.
