Nominative copy on Japan (ex. n° IV printed for Maurice Garçon, French jurist, essayist, lyricist, novelist, polygraphist and historian, 1889-1967). In 1926, the art publisher Henri Piazza commissions the orientalist painter Léon Carré to illustrate the Nuits and Racim Mohammed to design the titles and headlines. Léon Carré produced 144 color plates out of the text, which were included in the 12 volumes of this luxury edition.
