HANNOSET.- "The Arts Seminary Screen". Season... - Lot 721 - Les ventes Damien Voglaire SRL
HANNOSET.- "The Arts Seminary Screen". Season 1962-1963. Small cardboard case containing 24 square sheets of 8 x 8 cm. Layout: Corneille Hannoset. Introduction and program of the 1962-1963 season presenting films from the 50s by Bunuel, Orson Welles, Visconti, Bergman, Rohmer... At the end of 1944, the film library Le Club de l'Écran is dissolved and becomes L'Écran du Séminaire des Arts. Henri Storck advises Thirifays to hire Jacques Ledoux, a "volunteer and hard-working" student who becomes the effective director of L'Écran du Séminaire des Arts. It was he who commissioned renowned visual artists (Corneille Hannoset, René Magritte, Paul Delvaux) to create the "Cartons de l'Écran", illustrated invitations to the sessions. René Micha, Dimitri Balachoff and Henri d'Ursel introduced the films programmed by the Cinémathèque, which became the Cinémathèque royale in 1962. Not very common.
