MASSOT (Pierre de).
My body, this sweet demon. Without place or date [Alès, Pierre-André Benoit, 1959], 4°, in sheets, filled green cover (cover partially browned). First edition of this confession of the author's lovemaking which was written in 1932 in the port of Cannes on Francis Picabia's yacht, "L'Horizon". Limited edition of 220 copies, 1/200 vellum. There was also 55 copies on Arches with an engraving by Jacques Villon, but this edition does not appear in the justification of the copies on vellum. Pierre de Massot (1900-1969), French writer linked to the artistic movements of the avant-garde and, in particular, to Dadaism and Surrealism. He perpetuated in several of his works the memory of Erik Satie that he had known through his friend Francis Picabia, to whom he dedicated a monograph, published late in his life, to Editions Seghers. Close to Jean Cocteau and André Gide, he was also linked with the painter Marcel Duchamp.
