SENAC (Jean). Avant-corps preceded by Poèmes... - Lot 211 - Les ventes Damien Voglaire SRL
SENAC (Jean). Avant-corps preceded by Poèmes iliaques and followed by Diwân du Noûn. Poems. P., NRF, 1968, 8°, br. First edition. Numbered copy on Calypso alfa bouffant with a mailing : "For Max-Pol Fouchet [French poet, writer, art critic and television man, 1913-1980] / who will find in / this [avant-corps], / the places, the / lights, the bodies / and the / old sun friend / of / Jean Sénac". Enriched also with a card on the letterhead of the NRF: "My dear Max-Pol, / We are trying to / get (taking advantage of / my passage in Paris) / this book out of its abyss (...)". Jean Sénac is an Algerian poet, born in Béni-Saf in 1926 and assassinated in Algiers in 1973. He sings about the revolutionary struggle in which he puts all his hope by its capacity to create a world of beauty and fraternity, in an Algeria open to all cultures. He associates his own fight with it: search of deep identity, both personal and cultural, and his fight to make his homosexuality accepted. Great admirer of Gérard de Nerval, Rimbaud, Artaud and Genet.
