SNEYERS (Léon).
Reunion of 6 postcards, 4 of them enhanced with hand colors, for the house of decorative art "L'Intérieur", in Brussels. Size : (6 x) 9 x 14 cm. After studying at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Brussels, where he was a student of Paul Hankar and Adolphe Crespin, Léon Sneyers (1877-1948) went to London and the United States of America to continue his training. He was strongly influenced by the Vienna Secession. From 1900 to 1914, Leon Sneyers will carry out many projects of advertising placards, postcards, wallpapers and book illustrations for the store "L'Intérieur", a store of interior design and art furniture, located 9 rue de Namur in Brussels (renamed Galerie Sneyers in 1919). Rare and beautiful set.
