L'Empereur de Chine followed by Le Serin muet. P., Au sans pareil, "Collection Dada", 1921, in-12, br. black cover with red title. First edition printed at 162 ex. num. 1/100 vellum Lafuma. "Le Serin muet" was played for the first time during the Dada evening of March 27, 1920 at the Maison de l'Oeuvre, rue de Clichy. André Breton and Tristan Tzara played the male roles. After this unique performance, Ribemont-Dessaignes had entrusted the manuscript to Picabia who, with Aragon and Tzara, encouraged René Hilsum to publish it with "L'Empereur de Chine".
