Mesens moved to London in 1938. He directs the London Gallery where he presents the works of the surrealists and creates the review "London Bulletin" which appears from 1938 to 1940 (20 issues in 15 deliveries), contributing largely to the diffusion of Surrealism in the English-speaking world. Texts and illustrations by Guillaume Apollinaire, Djuna Barnes, Samuel Beckett, Humphrey Jennings, Henry Miller, Roland Penrose, Claude Cahun, René Magritte, Paul Delvaux, Max Ernst, and many others.
