LOEWY (Raymond). "Cadillac, Coupe de Ville, 1959". Reunion o - Lot 666
LOEWY (Raymond). "Cadillac, Coupe de Ville, 1959". Reunion of 2 vintage silver prints, bearing the designer's label and the photographer's stamp on the back (Photo-Vachon, Paris). Size : (2 x) 18,4 x 11,5 cm. Raymond Loewy, a Frenchman who emigrated to the United States in 1919, was the only designer who could, in the 1940s, cross the country in a bus, plane, train or car that he designed himself. In 20 years, from 1946 to 1966, 6 cars were made from production vehicles, in collaboration with workshops of carossier craftsmen, for the strictly private use of the Loewys.
