TZARA (Tristan). L'Antitête. P., Cahiers libres, 1933, in-12, 190 p., br. (spine heavily damaged, restored). First edition. numbered on vellum omnia. Copy enriched with a drawing dedicated : "to Jeannot / said Marnesac-de-mon-coeur / the cactus of the years and the rose of my friendship, his Tristan Tzara, Easter 54". A manicule, a small rose and a cactus drawn by Tzara's hand are accompanied by this caption: "Cactus of real Slibowitz". After studying philosophy, Jean Marcenac (1913-1984) joined the Communist Party and became actively involved in the Resistance. He published his first poems in the form of tracts and in underground newspapers. He was close to Eluard, Char and Aragon, and translated the poetry of Pablo Neruda.
