Bernouard), Nov. 1909 - March 15, 1911, 6 vols. 8° square, br., cover illustrated by Paul Iribe (cover slightly soiled, paper browned on no. 4), in cream buckram window box, title page on spine. Very nice review edited by Jean Cocteau, François Bernouard, Claude Chérau, Henri Bouvelet. Illustrations by P. Iribe, C. Guérin, L. Suë, P. Bonnard, Dunoyer de Segonzac, Thiéson, Whistler, M. Chotin, J.L. Boussingault, Marie Laurencin, Henri Monnier, A. Marce, Antonio de Gandara (off-text on Hollande paper). Texts by Catulle Mendès, Adam, Alain-Fournier, G. d'Annunzio, Guillaume Apollinaire, Fr. Carco, Remy de Gourmont, Sacha Guitry, Mallarmé, V. Margueritte, Henri de Régnier, M. Rostand, Jean Pellerin, Jean Cocteau, etc. Musical quotations from Marie Mallet, Tiarko Richepin, Gabriel Fauré, Raynaldo Hahn, Jules Massenet. The copies known as of first edition were reserved to the subscribers, those of second edition to the booksellers, here all the n° are in first edition, except n° 2 (Vasseur, p. 87). The review will be absorbed in 1911 by L'Oeuvre, the monthly program bulletin of avant-garde theater, created and directed by Lugné-Poe who entrusted Iribe with the realization of the cover of the new publication. The division of labor was as follows: Cocteau was in charge of the literature, Bernouard of the drawings and the administration.
