"The Manipulator". No. 9 to 23. Dusseldorf, 1987-1991, 15 vol. broadsides, in sheets, illustrated cover (edges slightly yellowed). "The Manipulator", the largest magazine ever printed (70 x 50 cm), was edited by Wilhelm Moser and David Colby, both from the circle of Andy Warhol's gallery owner Charles Cowles. In the 1980s, new creative and independent publications pushed the boundaries of publishing. "The Manipulator" was a photography, design and art magazine. The magazine's large format allowed for the publication of photographs on an unprecedented scale. In addition to articles on the arts, the magazine also addressed ecological issues such as disappearing forests or rising sea levels. Uncommon.
