(qq. page errors), 3 folding plates, modern binding in brown half calf, spine ribbed, title page. Georges Guillet, known as Guillet de Saint-George (1624-1705), was a French comedian and scholar. He was the first historiographer of the Royal Academy of Painting and Sculpture. Guillet took the name "Guillet de Saint-George" by which he is generally known, in 1661. He is also known for his travel reports in the Levant.
