Steve Katz (° 1945) is a guitarist, founder and member of the band "Blood, Sweat and Tears". In 1972, he became Lou Reed's producer (for 2 albums) and met Andy Warhol and the whole Velvet Underground band. A letter from Steve Katz is attached, telling of these moments with some anecdotes, including the one relating his "cocky attitude" for the pose of this polaroid, as it is one of the rare times he was wearing a suit. Also attached is a letter from Sotheby's in New York, to whom Steve Katz had asked to appraise this photo.
