Brux, Van der Kolk, 1855, folio, full mauve publisher's percaline. (spine faded, spotting and scattered russets). First edition with 33 off-text plates in colour, mounted on tab. Jean-Pierre Cluysenaar (1811-1880) is a Belgian architect, a leading figure of eclecticism. He is notably the author of the Royal Galleries Saint-Hubert (1845-47), of the Brussels Conservatory (1872-76), of the famous Hotel de Meeus (1861), as well as of country houses and castles such as the Servais villa (1851) in Hal, the Rey castle (1852-53), the current municipal house of Drogenbos or the castle of Baron de Viron, the current municipal house of Dilbeek. Not very common.
