MORAND, Joseph (1757-1813), French general of the Revolution and the Empire. Pass on the letterhead of the division general, commander in chief of the 23rd military division, dated July 24, 1804. The designated men must join Colonel Catamo in Ajaccio. Autograph signature. In the year VIII, he was employed as inspector general of infantry in the army of Italy before being entrusted by the first Consul with the command of the 23rd military division in Corsica. He was made a Knight of the Legion of Honour on the 11th December 1803, and Commander of the Order on the 14th June 1804. He was made a baron of the Empire on 15 August 1810 (several folds).
